Attorney Chris Jones was also a speaker for one session discussing problems and dilemmas in the context of consumer cases. Attorney Jones is a frequent speaker at the Detroit ABI conference. When asked to comment on this honor, he stated:
"The American Bankruptcy Institute is the largest and most respected organization dedicated to research and education on matters related to bankruptcy. It is an honor to serve on the Advisory Board/Planning Committee for annual ABI's annual Detroit Consumer Bankruptcy Conference. Further, to be selected as a presenter is a great opportunity to actively participate in educating fellow attorneys on cutting edge issues that affect our practice. In addition to the benefits from preparing materials for publication and presenting the information at the conference, attending the other sessions and events at the conference allows me to learn valuable information and gain a fresh perspective from respected peers and Judges in the bankruptcy community."
Acclaim Legal Services has a commitment to continuing legal education (CLE). We want to ensure that attorneys have access to the most up-to-date information regarding foreclosure and bankruptcy case law. To do this, we employ the following tools and more:
- Subscribe to national journals citing recent bankruptcy court opinions and case law;
- Review ABI new headlines daily;
- Attendance at conferences and seminars.
Attorney Jones is a ten year veteran of the firm and board certified in consumer bankruptcy law from the American Board of Certification. As part of the rigorous certification process, Attorney Jones had to accumulate CLE hours and pass a comprehensive written exam. Over the years, Attorney Jones has risen as a leader in the Detroit bankruptcy community as is shown in his role at this recent ABI conference.
