Filing for Divorce and Filing for Bankruptcy in Michigan. Should I file a bankruptcy prior to filing for divorce or should I wait?
Posted by AcclaimLegalService
Financial issues and related stress is widely considered one of the top reasons for divorces in the United States. It is therefore not surprising that filing for divorce and filing for bankruptcy might be considered around the same time. What timing is best for couples considering their options for both? The answer, if you and your spouse have debt and are considering filing for bankruptcy, it is more beneficial to file jointly as a married couple than to try to file individually after the divorce has been settled.

Thank you for taking the time on Monday, to explain to me all the details of my case. I really learned a lot from our talk. There should be more people in the world like yourself to make time for others that don’t understand the legal/law side of business.
Thanks…
I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your help throughout my Chapter 13 bankruptcy. I am so glad I decided to go with Acclaim Legal Services. Everyone I dealt with were very professional. I really appreciated how quickly you responded to me…
I would like to extend a special thank you to your firm, especially Cindy Millns and our attorney – they were both very helpful in this whole process very reassuring. I would recommend your firm to anyone that needs assistance!
I have worked primarily with Cindy. She has been terrific. She answered any concern I had promptly and courteously. It made a difficult situation easier to deal with.
